Sacred Pause

here is no other region I know of, in the province of Quebec, that you are required to stop driving to enter ~ except, “la belle Côte-Nord”.

My homeland.
Where I was born.
Where I grew up.

And yet I left at an early age of 16 to deepen into a sport I was passionate about. I moved and lived in many cities ever since and have not missed a year without returning to this Sacred Land. And when I do, I always feel at home, by the sea and with my family.

My roots.
I belong to the Sea.

A special gem wisdom that I love to retrieve from the depths of the deep waters and share about my homeland is its imposed Sacred Pause ~ as we must take a boat crossing to be welcomed by the first picturesque village of Tadoussac.

I’ve often heard complaints about the boat crossing. As your timing can be off and you miss it by a minute, the schedule can be unaccommodating or during touristic Summertime the waiting can get quite intense. I get all these reasons and irritations, why local residents would want to build a bridge instead…a recurrent, heated conversation.

And yet, this boat crossing offers a beautiful invitation to pause, admire, breathe, contemplate and slow down. Much needed natural medicine for our busy, always on-the-go and in a hurry culture.

This time around I spotted a few beluga whales. How excited I was! The gifts of this life are always there, right in front of our eyes. If we are receptive, open and present to them.

May we take the time.
May we make the time.
May we welcome Sacred Pause imposed or not into our lives. Our nervous system craves for these moments. In these instances, there is nothing to do, to prove or to change. Simply greeting what is and being with.

Pause.
Breathe.
Admire.
Be internally moved…

In gratitude for the many teachings this special place on Earth holds. The sea winks at us, reminding the healing treasures found within Sacred Pause.

The Wild Feminine Way invites us to explore the balancing act in our lives between intentional doing and being, both necessary for our own well-being🌀
