Spacious Summer

Spacious Summer I welcome you 🍃

In between two trainings in Guatemala…
The house went empty.
Everyone had left.
I was the sole one staying.
The house to myself.
Silence, spaciousness arose.
And it tasted delightful.
A beautiful remembrance…

This medicine has been knocking at my door. My body has been craving to experience myself otherwise. To rest, to slow down, to simplify my schedule. To be vigilant of over- stimulation. To deepen into what is already here. To create without feeling rushed nor pressured. To embrace silence and stillness. Space to listen and hear my own inner guidance.

Fiery I always have been. Doing, doing, doing. What’s next? What else? And life has served me in that sense too. No surprise, our culture is DO-based. Conditioned to always believe there is more to do, more to have, more to see and sadly, more to be. Praise is given to those who “accomplish” while our sense of worthiness can also be tied to that.
Distorted it can become.

《 Could we see ourselves giving praise to those who decide to rest? slow down? simplify?

Something deep down is emerging. A longing to taste life more easefully, relaxed and spaciously. Stripping down to the essentials. How counter seasonal & cultural it is to seek such qualities during the fieriest of seasons? When we are propelled to be out and about.

And yet it feels perfectly aligned. As stimulating invitations are everywhere, it’s an opportunity to practice boundaries and to listen more intently to what my body truly needs. To seek solely what feels just for myself. No forcing. No pushing. No unnecessary adding. Respecting what I need ~ the precious medicine of Spaciousness.
